The family of Alaska pol-ebrity Sarah Palin is back in the news and not in a good way.

Alaska Court records reveal the Saturday arrest of Palin’s 28-year-old son on charges of felony burglary and two misdemeanors – assault in the fourth degree and criminal mischief four with property damage.

Court records indicate Track was arraigned this morning in Palmer. Details are not yet available.

Track has a history of problems.

Last year the son of the one-time GOP vice presidential nominee and Fox News commentator was arrested for domestic battery after he hit his girlfriend during an argument at the Wasilla home of his parents, Sarah and Todd.

His girlfriend said at the time she was afraid he would shoot himself with an assault rifle during the blow up.

Track later negotiated a plea deal that dropped most of the charges filed against him. He agreed to plead to a charge of misconduct involving a weapon and enter an alcohol-treatment program run by the state Veterans Court.

Track’s girlfriend, Jordan Loewe, late last year split with Track and filed for custody of their child. Court records indicate custody was granted in April after a contested hearing and Track was ordered to pay child support.

A child protective order had been dismissed about a month earlier and the records of the case sealed.

Track also has a daughter from his brief marriage to Britta Hanson, who he divorced three months after getting hitched in 2011.

Track and sister Bristol have struggled with broken relationships and other problems throughout their adult lives. Both were big players in a 2014 Anchorage street fight that made national news.

Anchorage Police described that incident as a “drunken brawl” involving most of the Palin family, including Todd and Sarah, but no charges were filed.

“(Matthew) McKenna said it was Todd Palin’s birthday, his birthday, and his twin brother’s birthday,” an Anchorage Police report of the fight said. Todd and Mark McKenna, Matthew’s twin, are both past winners of the 2,000-mile Iron Dog snowmachine race, the longest and toughest event in the sport of snowmobile racing.

The police report described Track as shirtless, “angry and intoxicated.”

The report also indicated the young man was confused. Track was at a party in South Anchorage, but thought he was in Eagle River, an Anchorage suburb 15 miles north of the state’s largest city.

Track and most other witnesses to the melee seemed to agree things got out of hand after someone knocked down a friend of Palin family.

“Track said he then confronted one of the guys and said he would fight him. So Track took off his shirt to fight,” the police report says. Track said he was then attacked by a group of “skinny, white males.”

After Track’s arrest last year, Sarah suggested he suffers from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

“What my own son is going through, what he is going through coming back, I can relate to other families who feel ramifications of PTSD and some of the woundedness that our soldiers do return with,” she said at a Donald Trump rally in Tulsa, Okla. “And it makes me realize, more than ever, it is now or never for the sake of America’s finest that we have that commander in chief who will respect them and honor them.”
Palin, according to a CNN story at the time, called Track’s 2016 “arrest ‘the elephant in the room’ and said of her son and other war veterans, ‘they come back a bit different, they come back hardened, they come back wondering if there is that respect for what it is that their fellow soldiers and airmen, and every other member of the military, has given to the country.'”
Track enlisted in the Army in 2007 and spent year in Iraq. He was in a mobile infantry unit providing protection for the commander and deputy commander of the Alaska-based 25th Infantry Division’s 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, the “Arctic Wolves,” according to U.S. News and World Report.

Sarah was a vocal and active supporter of  Trump almost from the time he first entered the Republican primary on his way to the White House. Many expected her to take a job in the Trump administration, but that never happened.
Once a variety of the conservative Tea Party and for a long time a highly visible political activist, Sarah has been strangely quiet since Trump’s election.
The liberal news organization accused her political action committee of inspiring the 2011 shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords in Tucson, Ariz. The charge was not only untrue; it had been well documented as untrue.
The Times claimed it was all a mistake, but offered no explanation as to how it could get such a simple fact – something easily checked with a Google search – wrong.

  1. Track just needs an older guy who’s not his Father who he can trust and talk to about who he really is and how he feels about himself and the people in his life. Wish I could help him sort things out.

  2. This is Carol Costello’s favorite story now! Seriously, Track I wish you the best. You have issues that need to be addressed. I am always available to help the Palins….Chris

  3. Comments on ADN for their Track Palin story were disabled. I wonder what the story is with that. Hope the PTSD victim card is not played again with Track. The PTSD victim card is played too often, and abused, in the US. Invalid claims of PTSD are too often used as a way for vets to weasel out of responsibility for their actions, and proper punishment. With Track, he had behavioral issues going into the military and the same issues after the military. It’s demeaning to vets that really have PTSD to call Track’s bad parenting “PTSD”.

    • Maybe because lowlifes love to smear good people? But in reality, there are far more people who empathize and love the Palins than people who lie about them.

  4. I thought they all moved out of state. Who knew they were still around. Either way charges still have to be proven in a court of law and not the court of public opinion where all too oft many who live in glass houses are quick to throw the first rock.

  5. It’s pretty shocking for a well liked former star hockey player who had no real issues until 2016. One thing for sure is 4/5 Palins have no problems and Bristol survived the worst ex ever and his mentally ill sister. Sure she has regrets choosing 2 immature guys to date but she’s such a good person with a good head on her shoulders and has weathered being nationally defamed we well.

One thing people need to remember is track hates how his family has been abused and despised his sisters douche ex who is a liar to the nth degree. That coupled with his hatred of media and any attention, it’s not too shocking for him to have some issues out of response to media abuse. Think of celebs (people who choose fame) who lash out physically at paps.

3 years ago track was happy, he’s always worked, he owns his own home, he was attending toddler dance recitals like a father would, he was babysitting his sisters son.

Trust me. Before Jan 2016 no one in his life could imagine her go down this route.

In September he was with his parents in Mexico hanging with racers and followed it by hunting caribou with his girlfriend. Literally 2 months ago.

    Screw the media.

    • surprise, surprise. but that will teach those pesky Canadians to be careful doing business with Icicle Seafoods. it looks to have unloaded a farm in a bit of disrepair.

      • Well, regardless of how one feels about “regulation,” clearly some feel that there needs to be some teeth in the penalties associated with breaking some regs. Those “teeth” are showing here and Alaska’s regulators of marijuana have shown similar gumption, relative to one Fairbanks retailer that failed to test its product.
