News in Alaska was supposed to rocket into a new and better future on Wednesday when the Alaska Dispatch News launched  its new news platform developed in cooperation with the Washington Post.

But, as with many launches, there appeared to be some glitches. Archived old stories did not display. ADN links on other news websites sent readers to the security warning above.

But stayed tuned. This is sure to be sorted soon. And get ready for more.

The new platform is being hyped as producing more powerful journalism by providing faster news more often. The new platform does have a lighter, airier, more modern appearance, but the news at this point appears to be pretty much the same.

Then again, a lot of the news is always the same. Somewhere today another crime was committed.
